TASTY TURON WITH LANGKA!

Turon is a native Filipino snack mainly composed of saging na saba wrapped in spring rolls and whisked with brown sugar. A yummy variation has ripe jackfruit and mango as a filling. This Filipino snack is a typical street snack in the Philippines.

Saging na saba is the best banana for this snack since they are sweet. Filipinos abroad use plantain bananas since it is quite difficult to find saba outside the country.

INGREDIENTS:
Saging na saba
Brown sugar
Spring Roll Wrappers (Lumpia Wrappers)
Coconut Oil

HOW TO PREPARE:
 Peel the bananas and cut them lengthwise. Dip them in brown sugar just be sure that they are fully covered. You can also soak these bananas in sugar syrup or arnibal. Wrap at least three slices of bananas in one wrapper. If you have ripe jackfruit (langka) adds some in the filling. With a deep frying pan, heat the coconut oil. Fry the banana rolls until golden brown. Drain excess oil, prepare the plating with arnibal on top and enjoy the snack.
